The name NOA derives from the Hebrew word 'nahum', meaning ‘comfort’. Warmth and nourishment is at the heart of NOA, an eatery built around an open wood burning fire. At NOA meat is King, honoured by cooking low and slow, and the ritual of gathering together is just as important as the dishes themselves.
Inspired by the Argentinian Asado NOA’s menu showcases the best of barbecue with influences from across Latin America, North America and the Mediterranean. Meats are ethically sourced, Free Range, Halal, and Grass-fed, and cooked over embers in the traditional Asado technique. The result is tender, full flavoured meat with subtle smoke, and of course, served with NOA’s own Chimichurri sauce.
NOA’s Head chef, Daniel Castro is originally from Mexico where he began his culinary career fifteen years ago. He has since worked in Barcelona, as well as in exclusive resorts in Tulm and Playa del Carmen. His last stop before coming to NZ was Argentina, where he discovered his love for the Latin American Barbecue.
NOA Chargrill + Burger is the new addition to the Nazar Group family, led by Alex and Nigar, the restauranteurs behind successful Auckland Eateries Devon on the Wharf, Deco Eatery, Bodrum Kitchen, Miss Istanbul, Feriza’s and Ottoman Kitchen.
